Artist's Comments

This is a photograph that I took outside the Olympia Leisure across from the beach in Scarborough. I used a Pentax K1000 manual SLR camera.

a classic shot, full of mystery. the perspective is strong, and the clarity of the filigrane detail is stunning. gorgeous stuff !

lovely structure on the right hand side, really lovely. And those two guys adds a little something something to the overall composition! Great shot!

This is definitely a +fav even from the thumbnail. Excellent composition! The perspective is amazing and the two people walking add a lot of space to the picture. I would really love to see this get up there! Great shot!!!

Lovely shot. Perfect contrast. Interesting repetition in the structure.

Something about it...the exposure, the scene, the repetition, all of this works REALLY well. +favlove Incredible shot, overall.

I like the greyscale, the repetition, nice mystery to this, the perspective is terrific as are the details, so well done.

this has to be one of the best photographs i have ever seen here on Deviant!
Just the overal feel to the shot amazes me!
The right side looks old fashioned while the left side brings in modern day.
Great Work!

this reminds me of the murder mysteries of the fifties and sixties, a tale of a city whose only saviour is a beat cop with a sense of honour and his nose to the ground.

scarborough is very close to home. perhaps i am not the only one who stalks the streets in search of the night.
