First of all I'd just like to congratulate Ashley Hicklin for signing a publishing deal with EMI! Hopefully this album of his will be hitting the shops soon.

A few weeks ago now, on the 14th to 17th August was Scarborough's Beached Festival. This year I was photographing in a more "official" capacity which was loads of fun. The weekend headliners this year were One Night Only and Dodgy. Highlights for me were Glamour of the Kill, Heavens Basement, Rosie and the Goldbug, Bookhouse Boys and Natty. Got to meet some lovely people.

The following weekend I went to Leeds Festival with Dave [link] and Charlotte [link] It was such an awesome line-up this year. There were so many bands I was looking forward to seeing. Highlights for me were Tenacious D, Metallica (naturally), Henry Rollins (although I only got to hear the last half hour of his spoken word set), Serj Tankian, Queens of the Stone Age, Rage Against the Machine (such a privilege), Seasick Steve and Gallows. It was a shame about Slipknot not being able to play. I was curious to see what would happen as they were billed to follow Feeder on the main stage.
